ASIAN MARKETS: Region’s shares fall on Monday as focus shifts to growth concerns
Asian shares eased on Monday as investors shifted their focus to economic fundamentals while monitoring progress in the euro zone debt bailout scheme.
The MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan edged 0.2 per cent lower, with Australian shares down 0.1 per cent and the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) slipping 0.4 per cent.
The Nikkei stock average opened down 0.4 per cent.
