Nikkei opens marginally higher on Friday

Tokyo shares opened 0.29 per cent higher on Friday with the Nikkei 225 index up 26.32 points at 9,113.30 at the start. “Markets will continue to digest the latest round of global easing moves as prices adjust more to fundamental economic conditions,” Tachibana Securities market advisor Kenichi Hirano told Dow Jones Newswires. Analysts said the end of the fiscal first half in Japan was traditionally a quiet time for equities.
