Oil prices rise in Asia ahead of ECB
Oil prices rose in Asian trade on Thursday with investors hopeful that a European Central Bank meeting will yield fresh measures to resolve the eurozone’s stubborn debt woes. New York’s main contract, light sweet crude for October delivery, rose 50 US cents to US$95.86 a barrel and Brent North Sea crude for delivery in October was 47 US cents higher at US$113.56.
