Stable economic policies needed to fight inflation, says Wu Xiaoling





The central government needs to stabilise its macroeconomic policy as the nation faces some "but not overly high" inflationary pressures, said Wu Xiaoling, a senior lawmaker and former deputy central bank governor yesterday.


"What China and the world are facing are long-term, rather than short-term problems. Therefore, it's very important to maintain stable economic policies," Wu said on the sidelines of a financial forum in Beijing.
