Chinese exports on edge but not likely to tumble





The outlook for China's exports will largely depend on United States President Barack Obama's success in avoiding the so-called "fiscal cliff", which could drag the US into another recession, analysts say.


Most economists believe Obama will ensure debt is sustainable after being re-elected and the impact on demand for Chinese goods may be limited. Still, uncertainties surrounding the fiscal cliff and a potential ratings downgrade of the US have increased risk sentiment on global markets.
