Seoul shares open down, big-caps lose ground





Seoul shares opened down on Monday, led by big-cap stocks, as US fiscal worries persisted, with the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) off 0.3 per cent at 1,898.79. Samsung Electronics, South Korea’s most valuable stock, lost 0.4 per cent while second-placed Hyundai Motor fell 0.5 per cent.
