South Korea Oct exports snap 3-month losing streak





South Korean exports in October posted their first annual gain in four months, data showed on Thursday, adding to hopes Asia’s fourth-largest economy is starting to recover from a year-long slump.


Overseas shipments by the world’s seventh-largest exporter rose 1.2 per cent in October from a year earlier to US$47.2 billion while imports grew 1.5 per cent to US$43.4 billion, producing a US$3.8 billion surplus, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy data showed.
