Tokyo stocks up 1.05pc by break
Tokyo stocks rose 1.05 per centThursday morning, following an uptick on Wall Street that was supported by an Israel-Hamas ceasefire, while prices were also boosted by a weak yen.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 96.84 points to 9,319.36 by the break while the broader Topix index of all first-section shares rose 0.90 percent, or 6.87 points, to 773.88.
