Market Open: "Through-train" scheme tipped to boost Hong Kong stocks
The Hong Kong stock market is expected to rise sharply after the Chinese regulators over the weekend said they would allow more mainland citizens to buy securities listed on overseas exchanges, a move seen as an updated version of the so-called "through-train" investment scheme announced in 2007 which failed to materialise.
