Cyprus bank chairman resigns as bailout woes grow





Cypriots faced new worries on Tuesday after a huge international bailout as the chairman of the island’s biggest lender resigned and banks stayed closed for two more days as hundreds of students protested in front of the presidential palace amid growing public anger at the European Union and International Monetary Fund over the 10-billion-euro (US$13 billion) rescue package.
