Apple plans to boost its presence in China with iOS 7 mobile operating system

Apple on Tuesday revealed ambitions to boost its presence in the mainland market, after unveiling its newest mobile operating system iOS 7 - which supports China’s popular microblogging site Tencent Weibo.

The iPhone maker also announced plans to integrate its intelligent voice-command program Siri into various new car models next year, targeting the world’s biggest car market in the mainland.

“I think Chinese consumers will like iOS 7, " said Ben Bajarin, director of consumer technology research at market intelligence firm Creative Strategies.
