China June CPI jumps 2.7pc, PPI falls 2.7pc
China’s annual consumer inflation quickened to 2.7 per cent in June from May’s 2.1 per cent, official data showed on Tuesday, above market expectations.
The National Bureau of Statistics said that China’s producer prices fell 2.7 per cent last month from a year earlier, compared with a drop of 2.9 per cent in May.
Economists polled by Reuters had expected consumer inflation of 2.5 per cent and factory-gate prices to fall 2.7 per cent in June.
