Lack of permit stalls ability of foreign banks’ FTZ branches to transfer funds freely

Ten foreign banks have opened subsidiaries in the past 10 months in the Shanghai free-trade zone, but none has obtained a business permit that would allow it to take advantage of the liberalisation offered by the experimental free port.
