China’s August exports grow 9.4pc as imports drop 2.4pc on slowdown

Mainland Chinese exports beat forecasts to grow 9.4 per cent in August from a low base a year earlier, but imports disappointed with a fall of 2.4 per cent, official data showed on Monday, adding to worries about a struggling economic recovery.
