China cuts bank reserve ratio by 50 basis points in bid to add liquidity, spur growth





The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) decided to cut banks’ reserve requirement ratio (RRR) by 50 basis points from Thursday, a move that marks the strongest easing since the central bank lowered benchmark interest rates for the first time in two years in November.
