Taiwan stocks fall; auto, food makers drag the index down

Taiwan stocks fell 0.2 per cent on Monday, weighed by automakers and food shares, as investors took a pause after a strong third quarter. The main TAIEX index was off 13.04 points at 7,702.12 at the opening bell. It closed the third quarter up 5.7 per cent on Friday.
